During the month of April, I held The Craziest Date Contest in honor of April Fools' Day. I got lots of great (crazy) entries, but one really took the cake! (And also made me super happy!) Watch the video to get the story:
I had the pleasure of being a featured guest on the Girlskill podcast hosted by Anna Rova. I met Anna (who is from Moldova! I have a friend from Moldova!) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria after seeing that she was a guest on another podcast I had done back in the USA and I reached out to connect. What ensued was a truly enlightening conversation about life, love, dating, vulnerability and my most recent status as a cougar. Haha! I hope you all enjoy the interview.
All month long I've been sharing with you my craziest dates from my 17 year dating career. Today I will share the craziest date that I have ever been on. Here is the story of the time I dated a psychic from the Renaissance Faire...

As many of you know I'm now living in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. I was asked to give a talk about dating for digital nomads as Las Palmas is a huge digital nomad hub in Europe. What are digital nomads? Basically just people who either work remotely online or are online entrepreneurs and use their location independence to travel the world while working. There are a few noteworthy differences about this demographic. I conclude the talk with how my recent arrival in the digital nomad community got me a boyfriend! Click below to hear all about it.
As some of you may know, my father passed away a few weeks ago. I flew home to New Jersey to be with my family for the funeral and shiva and I am in the process of healing. For many years he suffered from bad health due to Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. This is actually a big part of the reason that I got into nutrition coaching as a profession. I wanted to help others know and act on the right information to positively influence their health.
12 years ago my father suffered a disabling stroke and had been in a nursing home ever since. Sadly my brother and I lost his full participation in our lives way too early. There is so much information that is available today about turning around the trajectory of these degenerative diseases that we did not have back when he was diagnosed. This is the subject of today's video with a special discount on coaching in honor of the memory of my father, Theodore Blake. Please feel free to forward this video to anyone that you think it would help.
Hey everyone! Valentine's Day is upon us and I know this can be a particularly hard time for single people. I just wanted to tell you a little story about something that happened to me in New York City before I moved to Gran Canaria that may help if you're struggling today. Check it out and let me know what you think!
OK not exactly a star...but after living in Gran Canaria for only one month, I was approached by an online Canarian lifestyle magazine to do a feature interview about my book and why I chose to move to Gran Canaria. (17 years living in NYC and I never made it to Page 6 of The New York Post, Time Out New York or Hamptons Magazine. One month in the Canary Islands and everyone wants to know who I am. I seriously love this place so much!)
If you can read German or Spanish, the link to the actual magazine is HERE. If you want to listen to the interview (in English of course!) watch the video below. When are you all coming to Gran Canaria to visit me???
